It has now been 8 days since my last operation.
It was a abdominal rupture on my left side - this was 4 layers of muscles that ripped for the first time post op (malignant cancer L1-L3 spinal fusion) just after the operation in January 2005. I had it repaired the first time in March 2006 2 days after Hetty’s dad passed away.
Since then it had ripped some more 
. So I asked for another consult with the former surgeon and he was not interested in fixing this on going problem. After a referral to Dr Todd @ Peace Arch Hospital I had it reapaired again with adding more mesh between the layers. Now I am recovering slowly at home with my favorite nurse and beloved wife .
Saw our family dr today for a post op consult and things are progressing normally – can’t wait to be able to get back into my hot tub SOON while life on long-term disability continues.
